Lakshadweep - 7 Days 6 Nights

New Trip
Facebook Comments

There are many trips I have lead in the last six years! There are many places I have fallen in love with! There are many many countries I have gone to.
But Lakshadweep, is arguably one of the most surreal looking places we could ever go to! I have been to the Andamans, to Bali, to Thailand, and to the Mediterranean, but the colours of the sea in Lakshadweep will make you gasp. When we decided to do this trip, I did not even wish to put up a written description of why we should visit it, because words would never do justice to it.
We are going to see some of its finest islands. Even before you land at Agatti airport, the sea around that small runway strip, the colours ot the ocean there itself will leave you with your mouths wide open! And in all the boat journeys, you will see the bluest of water, in not one, two but a variety of shades. Most of these islands are uninhabited and only have a few government officials and staff to man them, so its almost as if you have walked into another world, a world that will be your own for these nights on the trip!

You wouldn't have seen those crabs before. They are orange and brown and yellow and look so different and exotic, that you will feel you are in Galapagos or some equally exotic land. These crabs walk with their shells. There are huge sea cucumbers - dark blue in colour. And if you get your snorkel glasses, you will spot hundreds and hundreds of fish wherever you choose to enter in the ocean.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Sit on open boats and go over the lagoons of Thinnekara Island and see turtles swimming by. Walk on the white sands of Bangaram Island and let us know if you have seen a more beautiful place ever. Lie down under the stars at night on the beach in Agatti, and let them overwhelm you. If you are up for some adventure, go fishing with Captain Nero in the middle of the night. If we are lucky, we will see some glowing planktons in the ocean. You can even go snorkelling near a shipwreck.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Scuba dive for sure, even if you have done it before, because these waters have the richest marine life in South Asia. You could see manta rays, surgeon fish, clown fish, octopuses, rich corals, turtles and more!&nbsp;</div> <div><strong>&nbsp;</strong></div> <div><strong>Now for the important part: There is only one flight that goes to Agatti island from Kochi daily, so we have very limited seats on this trip.
