First up, we're visiting Barot, a Himachali hamlet that charms every visitor with its quaint and cosy ways. With the river here singing to you with its loud waves and the mountain tops starting to play peekaboo, you'll find yourself conversing with them and smiling along too. From here we take on a trek to venture into the Rajgundha valley. Get set to gaze at Dhauladhar peaks in the backdrop and local villages right in front of you. Your new friends and the throngs of trees shall both keep you company through the day to those starlit nights! Then we trek down to Bir- one of the most beautiful places to visit in Himachal. Bir became a frequented spot after it hosted the World Paragliding Championship a few years back. Renowned as the second best paragliding spot in the world, Bir Billing is where you need to head to strike off paragliding from your bucket list! While an adventure sport makes Bir an exciting spot, what’s also attractive about this little place is the number of monasteries it has. We shall head to a few of these beautiful monasteries to get a taste of the life led there, to interact with monks, to look at the intricately drawn paintings along walls, to learn more about Buddhism and to lose ourselves in the serenity of it all. Better yet, relive your college days as we stay in the dorms of a colourful hostel (Bir), scratch your itch for adventure as we camp out (Rajgundha) and warm your wanderlust in a cosy hotel stay (Barot) as well. The charm of Barot and Bir is in their slow life. Hidden between green patches there are cosy cafes for you to explore. Rent a cycle, take lazy strolls, let yourself get absorbed in the beauty of Himachal. I am attaching the PDF version of the itinerary along with this mail, so take a look and hope you love it!
