Keylong in Himachal Pradesh is a quaint hill station stretched across the green Bhaga Valley below Manali-Leh road. There are a number of private vehicles available to reach this hill station. The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has buses plying from Keylong to Delhi, Haridwar, Dharamshala, and Shimla. There are also several buses plying from Manali to Keylong and vice-versa. The first bus leaves as early as 4 AM and the last bus leaves at 12 noon. Buses are not operational from October through April as the road between Manali and Keylong is closed during due to heavy snowfall and landslides. It takes 5 hours for the buses to cover the distance.
Alternatively, you can also hire a car or take your private vehicle to get there. There are also Taxi facilities are available from Manali. Keylong is connected via road to Chandigarh (398 km), Manali (94 km), Kullu (136 km) and Dalhousie (203 km).
Bhuntar Airport also known as Kullu Manali Airport is situated at distance of about 175 km from Keylong. Private as well as buses facilities are available from the airport to Keylong.
Chandigarh and Delhi are the biggest airports of all and once you get there, you can either catch a bus for Manali or hire a cab.
As Keylong does not have a railway station, so those who wish to travel to this hill station will have to catch a train to either the station in Amb Andaura, which is 131 km away or the one in Una Himachal, which is a good 142 km away.
Another railhead is Joginder Nagar which is 250 km away.
