Akrothiri Café

Akrothiri Café is located all the way at the southern tip of Santorini which is often overlooked by the tourist. But, it’s a must-visit as they make some deliciously thick coffee and also turn into a cocktail bar at night serving classic cocktails while you dance the night away. The Greek themed decor, the ambiance, the flowers and grapes, everything sets the right mood for a perfect meal. The service is fast, the food is sublime and the meals are quite large in portion as well. It’s the idyllic place for a nice, hearty breakfast before you explore the island.

To Kafenedaki Tou Emboriou

The cutest cafe! Hidden away in the small streets of Emporio, this cafe has so much charm it’s hard to resist. The Owners and childhood sweethearts, Vasilis and Gogo, are the friendliest people you’ll meet here and serve customers their homemade “Koulourakia” (a Greek biscuit) with every cup. The baklava here is just heavenly, especially with the ice cream. Frappe is always good in Santorini, but the ones you’ll have here will definitely top the charts. With a friendly staff and a creative menu serving a variety of dishes, this quaint café is local’s favourite and is a perfect place to end your day on the beautiful island of Santorini.

Franco’s Bar

Located in Fira, the picturesque main town of the island, and boasting the most spectacular panoramic caldera view, Franco’s bar is a cult classic. It’s one of the best bars in Satonrini, however, in the morning, this is an excellent place to start your day with one of their great coffees and Greek pastries. As the sunset in Santorini is a truly unique spectacle, make sure you arrive early to get a good front row seat on the veranda. Sit back, relax, enjoy a simple yet impeccable martini or a champagne cocktail and let the intensity of the classical melody lift your spirit and fill your soul. The music and the colours of the sunset in hues of orange and yellow definitely make light up your mood.

Irini’s Café

Irini’s Café is one of the oldest Santorini restaurants dating back to 1965. It was the first restaurant to operate in the area, and is well-known for Mrs Irini’s traditional home-made recipes which are out of the world. Among the tasteful dishes served here, you can relish the traditional Greek delicacies and fresh fish, all prepared with excellent quality ingredients and served in a cozy environment decorated with murals and island images. Another great thing about Irini’s Cafe is its awe-inspiring view due to the fact that it is located probably at one of the best spots in the island. You can sip your coffee, juice or cocktail or savour their delicacies while gazing at the magnificent open sea and admire the famous sunset of Santorini.

Brusco

This little gem in Santorini is a traditional rustic cafe-deli located within a square in Prygos where you can sample local wines and beers as well as the delicious organic Greek food. Stop by for the warm welcome, homemade cakes (including baklava) and platters of great Santorini produce (fava, tomatoes, aubergines, capers and more). Relax with a cocktail in their outdoor space and take in the whole view while listening to the lounge music. At dusk, the bar turns into a lively hot spot where you can choose between wine, cocktails or other drinks while taking in the surrounding scenery. What’s not to like?
